Irvine senior Summer Wilson set the CIF State Championships girls cross country record with her winning time of 16 minutes, 20 seconds on Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Wilson broke the record of 16:31 set by Claudia Lane of Malibu in 2017. Wilson, who this season also won a CIF Southern Section championship, signed with Duke.

Oliver Hunter continued the Dana Hills tradition of winning a CIF State cross country championship.

Dana Hills senior Oliver Hunter won the Division III race with his time of 14 minutes, 55.3 seconds.

Evan Noonan represented Dana Hills when he won CIF State championships last year and the previous two years.

JSerra won CIF State boys and girls cross country championships Saturday.

The JSerra girls program won a state championship for the fifth year in a row with its victory in Division IV. JSerra is only the third school to win five straight CIF State cross country titles. Freshman Maya Pawlowicz was the first Lion across the finish line with a seventh-place finish.

The JSerra boys won the Division IV title. The Lions finished second in the Division IV state boys race last year.

El Toro’s girls won the Division III team championship. The Chargers were state Division II champions last year.

Santa Margarita junior Carol Dye finished third in Division III at 17:22.2

In the Division I boys team standings San Clemente was second, to Redondo Union, and Beckman was fourth.

Woodbridge junior Aidan Antonio finished third in the Division II race at 14:50.1 to lead Woodbridge to a second-place team finish. Jesuit was first.

Trabuco Hills senior Millie Bayles was third in the Division I race  at 17:00.3 to lead the Mustangs to third place in the Division I team standings.
