Fresh off of receiving its star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday morning, three-time Grammy award-winning a capella group Pentatonix announced the North American leg of its world tour and it includes a stop at Irvine’s FivePoint Amphitheatre on Sep. 11.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at Ticketmaster.com. There’s also a presale starting on Thursday, Feb. 23 and fans can sign up for more information at ptxofficial.com.

Pentatonix formed in Arlington, Texas in 2011 and won the third season of NBC’s “The Sing-Off.” Since then, the group has performed everywhere from The White House to the Hollywood Bowl and released a dozen albums. Pentatonix won three Grammy awards including two in the best arrangement, instrumental or a cappella category in 2015 for “Daft Punk” and in 2016 for “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.” They also picked up a trophy in the best country duo/group performance category for a duet with country legend Dolly Parton with “Jolene” in 2017.

Its most recent album, “Holidays Around the World,” came out on Oct. 28, 2022. The quintet also premiered “Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays,” in December, which streamed exclusively on Disney+.
