JSerra’s girls cross country team turned in a winning performance in dominating fashion in the PR City Invitational on Saturday in Norco.

The Lions’ winning team score was 25 in the Elite Girls Division. Corona Santiago was second with a team score of 52.

JSerra junior Reese Holley finished second with a time of 16 minutes, 59.2 seconds. Lions sophomore Kaia Streadbeck was third in 17:10.8, JSerra freshman Maya Pawlowicz  was fourth in 17:12.9 and Lions freshman Brooklyn Tennant finished seventh in 17:20.8.

Beckman finished second and JSerra was third in the Elite Division for boys. Beckman junior Hassan Syed had the best time among Orange County runners at 14:32.8.

DANA HILLS INVITATIONAL

Woodbridge’s Aidan Antonio and Aiden Zavala finished 1-2 in the Tim Butler Elite Boys race at the Dana Hills Invitational to lead the Warriors to the team title.

The race was shortened to 2.1 miles. Antonio covered the distance in 10 minutes, 2.7 seconds.

Tesoro senior Amber Dazey was second in the Ron Bucheim Elite Girls race, a 3-mile race, at 16:55.5.
