School’s out, and several spots have opened at Irvine Spectrum Center to help make this the best summer for the kids in your life.
Children bring their imaginations to life, one personalized creation at a time, at Build-A-Bear Workshop. The process bridges creativity, fun and nostalgia: Choose a furry friend; choose clothes and shoes; choose sounds and scents; and choose accessories. Furry-friend possibilities range from the Timeless Teddy Bear to the Disney Stitch Experiment 626 Plush.
Taking the kiddos to the beach? When only the perfect beach blanket or beach towel will do, first stop in at Sand Cloud. The blankets are gauzy and super-soft; the Turkish cotton towels are engineered to resist sand – and away from the beach, they can double as skirts or shawls. The company secured an investment on TV’s “Shark Tank,” and a portion of the profits go to marine conservation.
The Game Chest, a mom-owned business offering toys and games for all ages, has moved to a more visible location in the center. A wide variety of games includes family favorites Monopoly, Catan and Uno, and specialty board games What Do You Meme and Uh-Oh, Monsters! Pokemon and Dungeons & Dragons camps are offered all summer.
