More than 1,400 IUSD student-athletes, including adaptive PE participants, competed in the 36th annual Irvine Junior Games, showcasing school spirit across events such as sprints, relays and the standing long jump. Beyond the competition, students helped raise funds for the Irvine Children’s Fund, which supports before- and after-school care for low-income working families in the city. The fund recently received $64,427 in federal funding – 100% of which goes to scholarships. The event, supported by hundreds of volunteers and sponsors, continues Irvine’s unique tradition of students helping students through athletic achievement and community service.
