Irvine has been ranked the top city in California for work-life balance, according to CoworkingCafe’s 2025 national study. The report analyzed 100 of the nation’s largest cities, weighing factors such as work hours, health care access, air quality, green space, commute times and the share of remote workers.
Irvine ranked seventh in the U.S., staying in the top 10 for the second consecutive year and achieving the highest rank of any California city. The study highlighted Irvine’s strong health care coverage, with nearly 96% of residents insured, and its abundance of recreational opportunities, including more than 34 acres of parkland per 1,000 people.
