The U.S. Soccer Men’s National Team has selected Championship Soccer Stadium at Great Park as its official training base during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19 across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The U.S. team will open group play June 12 against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium, followed by a June 19 match against Australia in Seattle and a June 25 game at SoFi Stadium against either Kosovo, Romania, Slovakia or Turkey.

Irvine officials say details about a welcome event and a potential community day will be announced soon. Training sessions during the tournament will not be open to the public.
