The Great Park Gallery is hosting “Journey Through the Maze: 45 Years of Pac-Man,” a new exhibition honoring the beloved arcade icon created by Bandai Namco, whose U.S. headquarters is here in Irvine.
The free exhibition explores Pac-Man’s journey from a 1980s arcade hit to a global pop culture phenomenon. It features rare memorabilia, original arcade cabinets and work by more than 50 artists from around the world.
The interactive exhibit also includes free, family-friendly events such as pixel drawing workshops, a Pac‑Man fingerboarding experience and a panel discussion with gaming industry professionals.
Bandai Namco – publisher of major franchises such as Dragon Ball and Naruto – consolidated its U.S. operations in 2022 at a 70,000-square-foot headquarters near Sand Canyon Avenue and Irvine Center Drive. The company’s presence underscores Irvine’s growing influence as a hub for innovation in technology and other creative realms.
Great Park Gallery, noon–4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 28
