Nine restaurants in Irvine fire up the grills for Burger Week, celebrating the craft, creativity and culture of the iconic American food from Sept. 20-26. Pleasures of the patty and fixings range from the classic beef burger to chicken, turkey, mushroom and plant-based creations.
Most menus range in price from $10 to $35. New this year: Event producer OC Restaurant Association pushes the boundaries of the bun with luxury burger pairings and vegetarian/vegan menus.
Participating restaurants include Bopomofo Cafe at Alton Square; The Cut at Westpark Plaza; Eureka! at University Center; Left Coast Brewing Co. at Sand Canyon Plaza; and Sessions West Coast Deli at Woodbridge Village Center. Four Irvine Spectrum Center venues are also taking part: Dave & Buster’s, Georgia’s, Paul Martin’s American Grill and Hijinx Hotel/Holey Moley Golf Club.
Among standout offerings are the Eureka! cult classic Fresno Fig burger ($10); the elaborate West Coast bacon cheeseburger with Peruvian tater tots at Sessions ($20); and a complete meal at The Cut, including blueberry-lavender lemonade or Painkiller cocktail, a starter and choice of the Marrow & Raclette or Dry-Aged Royale burger ($35).
Intriguing options at Hijinx/Holey Moley include the Banh Mi Burger ($20) and the 5-pound Giant Burger ($90). burgerweek.com
