ORANGE COUNTY BASEBALL TOP 25

1. Villa Park 24-2: Spartans won the Boras Classic South championship with an 11-7 win over JSerra in the final. Britton Beeson homered and drove in five runs in the win. Villa Park is in first place in the Crestview League.
2. JSerra 15-10: The Lions beat Orange Lutheran on their way to the Boras Classic South final. They have won nine of their past 10 games and are in three-way tie for second place in the Trinity League.
3. Orange Lutheran 21-4: The Lancers finished third in the Boras Classic South, including a 21-2 win over Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks in the third-place game. Casey Borba hit a grand slam in the victory.
4. Huntington Beach 17-8: The Oilers have clinched the Surf League championship. They went 3-1 in the Boras Classic South. Ben Jacobs had a fine pitching performance in a win over Yucaipa.
5. Cypress 20-4-2: One week after winning the National Classic championship, the Empire League-leading Centurions split a two-game league series with Pacifica.
6. Foothill: Gabe Garcia had a no-hitter through 6 1/3 innings and shut out Servite 4-0 in the Boras Classic South consolation championship game. The Knights went 3-1 in the tournament.
7. Servite 14-10: The Friars are part of a three-way tie for second in the Trinity League. They went 2-2 in the Boras Classic South, and Auggie Gutierrez continued his hot hitting.
8. Santa Margarita 18-7: The Eagles won two of three games against St. John Bosco in a Trinity League series. They are part of the three-way tie for second place going into the final week of league play.
9. Trabuco Hills 20-5: Sea View League-leading Mustangs swept San Clemente in a three-game league series that ended with Garrett Strenger hitting a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh in a 6-3 win.
10. Pacifica 17-9: Chad Gurnea pitched a complete game with six strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Cypress as the second-place Mariners split their two-game Empire League series with the Centurions.
