DIVISION I

Crean Lutheran (25-6) at Damien (30-4), 6 p.m.

Outlook: Damien beat Crean Lutheran 64-59 in CIF Southern Section Open Division pool play Feb. 11 at Crean Lutheran High. Crean Lutheran had a 37-17 lead in the second quarter. Damien’s Jimmy Oladokun (6-8, Jr., F) scored 18 points with 10 rebounds. Vyctorious Miller (6-6, So., G) led the Saints that day with 15 points. Koat Keat (6-10, Sr., F) scored 14 points with 11 rebounds before fouling out with two minutes remaining and Crean Lutheran ahead by two points. Damien is seeded No. 1 and Crean is No. 2 in Division I of the CIF Southern California Regional playoffs. Damien beat Mission Hills 81-50 in the first round, JSerra 66-56 in the second round, and St. Bernard 70-65 in the semifinals. Crean beat Cathedral Catholic 63-60 in the first round, La Costa Canyon 68-50 in the second round and Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks 72-65 in the semifinals. Both teams are hunting for their first CIF State Championships appearance in boys basketball. The winner plays Friday at 8 p.m. at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

DIVISION II

Los Altos (26-6) at Foothill (30-3), 6 p.m.

Outlook: Foothill defeated Los Altos 67-57 on Jan. 17 in the MLK Classic showcase at St. John Bosco High. Both teams are trying to reach the CIF State boys basketball finals for the first time. Foothill, seeded No. 1 in Division II of the Southern California Regional, beat Francis Parker 67-59 in the first round, Carlsbad 96-95 in triple overtime in the second round and Rancho Cucamonga 69-64 in the semifinals. Jacob Horton (5-10, Sr., G) scored 17 points against Rancho Cucamonga. Second-seeded Los Altos beat La Jolly Country Day 64-35 in the first round, La Mirada 55-37 in the second round and Edison 57-41 in the semifinals. CJ Bellamy (5-9, Sr., G) scored 20 points for the Conquerors in the win over Edison. Jazz Gardner (7-0, Jr., C) scored 17 points with nine rebounds against Edison. The winner advances to the CIF State Championships to play in the Division II final at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Saturday at 4 p.m.

DIVISION V

La Quinta (22-11) at Chaffey (23-12), 6 p.m.

Outlook: La Quinta has won three away games in the Division V regional to advance to the Southern California final. The Aztecs defeated Rosamond 65-59 in the first round, Villanova Prep 61-60 in the second round and Fontana 66-59 in the semifinals. Viggo Nguyen (5-9, Sr., G) scored 24 points and Shuaib Tahir (5-11, Sr., G) scored 20 in the win over Fontana. La Quinta finished second, to Santiago, in the Garden Grove League. The Aztecs lost to Riverside Prep in the CIF Southern Section 5A semifinals; in the 5A final Riverside Prep lost to Fontana, which La Quinta defeated Saturday in the regional semifinals. Chaffey lost in the CIF-SS 5AA final to Villanova Prep, which La Quinta defeated in the second round of the regional playoffs. The La Quinta-Chaffey winner plays in the CIF State championship game Friday at noon at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
